One of my colleagues is on a mission to bring financial literacy to the masses. It is a mission that he cannot deny because it is his calling; it is what he was born to do. He has a habit of saying, “sometimes you get ahold of an idea and sometimes an idea gets ahold of you.” I love that quote.

In 2015, I made the decision to leave a career in banking which was difficult because I had a pretty cushy situation working for my father. But, I really had no choice. I had to leave to discover my calling. On the surface, my life was idyllic. I had a good job, lots of friends, a beautiful family and even a white picket fence. I had everything that society deemed important, but I was unhappy. I lacked the satisfaction that comes from pursuing work that is fulfilling all on its own and finding that became a primary driver in my life.

My search for passion has in many ways become what I offer others. The work I do revolves around discovering the passions we all have inside of us. I help people proactively design their ideal life as well as a business or a career that helps deliver that life.

And, there’s something inspiring and infectious about people who are pursuing their passions which is why I have also built a community of people living out their missions alongside one another. We learn and grow together in order to truly understand our calling and fulfill our mission. Do you know your calling?
